Lorton is a quiet village situated between Keswick and Cockermouth in the beautiful Vale of Lorton at the end of the Whinlatter Pass and is close to Crummock Water and Buttermere. There's a dog friendly pub (The Wheatsheaf) in the village, aswell as a village shop, all within easy walking distance.
